Principal's Message:
It is hard to believe the holidays are upon us and we are entering the last month of 2023! With that said, I wanted to share some important updates and exciting happenings at Spanger during the month of December.
Toy Drive:
Our annual toy drive is underway! If you would like to learn more or see how you might help, please refer to the flier below!
Music Ensemble:
Our talented and dedicated students have been diligently preparing for the Winter Ensemble, which is scheduled for December 8th from 6:00-7:30. We invite you to join us in celebrating their hard work and musical accomplishments. It promises to be a joyous and memorable event for our school community.
Penguin Patch:
In the spirit of giving, throughout the week of December 11th, our PTC has organized a place where students can shop for their families for the upcoming holidays.
Polar Express Musical:
Our third graders will perform their annual Polar Express Musical on
December 19th at 6:00-7:00. "Well, are you coming?"
Winter Break Information:
As a reminder, our winter break will begin on December 21 and ends on January 5th.

What is ELAC? ELAC is the acronym for English Learner Advisory Committee.
What is ELAC’s purpose? The purpose of E.L.A.C is to provide parents of English Learners opportunities to:
Learn more about the programs offered to their students
Advise the principal and school staff on the most positive and effective actions to improve learning of English Learners
Advise the school principal and staff on the development of the School Plan
Send information to D.E.L.A.C (District English Learner Advisory Committee)
Review the Language Census each spring

¿Que es ELAC? ELAC son las siglas del Comité de Consulta para el Aprendizaje del Idioma Ingles.
¿Cuál es el propósito de ELAC? El propósito de E.L.A.C es proporcionar a los padres de familia de los estudiantes del idioma ingles las siguientes oportunidades:
• Conocer mas sobre los programas que se le ofrecen a los estudiantes.
• Aconsejar al Director de la escuela y a su personal de las acciones mas positivas y eficaces para facilitar el aprendizaje a los estudiantes del idioma ingles.
• Aconsejar al Director de la escuela y a su personal sobre el desarrollo del Plan Escolar.
• Hacer una revision anual del Censo de Lenguaje durante la primavera.
• Enviar la información a D.E.L.A.C ( Distrito del Comité de Consulta para el Aprendizaje del Idioma Ingles).
