Principal's Message:
Happy Friday! Thank you for taking the time to read the blog. Continue reading to learn about all things Spanger!
Please take a moment to review the following policies surrounding cell phone use and eating/drinking on the playground.
Cell Phones at School:
We have seen an increase in cell phone use around campus. Per Roseville City School District,
students are allowed to carry cell phones and electronics to school. Cell phones must be
silenced and stored in the student’s backpack before entering school grounds. Smart Watches
must be silenced and not utilized as a communication tool (send or receive messages) during
school hours. The school accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged cell phones
or electronics.
Any violation of the cell phone/electronic device policy may result in the phone/watch being
held until the end of the day, and staff will communicate with parents/guardians.
Eating and Drinking on the Playground Before School:
I would also like to address a growing concern regarding students eating breakfast and drinking
Starbucks and other store-bought drinks on the playground before school starts. While we
understand the desire for students to have a quick bite before the school day begins, we
kindly request your cooperation in refraining from allowing your child to bring snacks to
the playground during our walk and talk. Students should enjoy their breakfast at home or
in the cafeteria, not on the playground. Students are not allowed to drink (water excluded) or
eat anytime on the playground and this expectation applies to before school as well.
We appreciate your support in reinforcing these guidelines at home. If you have any concerns
or questions about the policies mentioned above, please feel free to contact me.

Mr. K
