* I was reminded of this quote today when a student ran up to be and proudly announced and showed me that her two front teeth were finally coming in.

Principal's Message:

Happy Friday!
Our CASSPP testing is coming along nicely. Most 3rd through 5th graders have finished ELA and will tackle math next week (5/8-5/11).

Dismissal Update:

We are no longer using our QR code system for dismissal. Please familiarize/review yourself with the following dismissal procedures. Students will also be taught these expectations.

1. Students should be picked up only in the designated Drop off/Pick Up Zone. (See the map below for the area in white).

2. Students should not be picked up on Shasta Street along the painted red lines on the sidewalk. This is a safety concern. These areas are designated as No Stopping or Parking Areas. Students will also be taught this expectation.

3. Please move forward to allow as many cars into the designated Drop off/Pick Up Zone as possible. When one car stops to load at the beginning or middle of the zone it negatively impacts the flow of cars and the efficiency of drop off and pick up.

4. Students and adults should use the crosswalks when walking to their parked vehicles in the parking lot.

5. Please respect our neighbors on Alta Vista Ave. and Silver Oak Ct. and remember cars are not allowed in the alleyway behind the school.

A huge thank you to those families who took the time to complete our Family Survey. The feedback you offered provides invaluable information for us going forward. If you have not responded, there is still time. We have extended the window until May 10th!

Lastly, remember Open House is on Wednesday, May 10th! The entire campus is excited for an evening of visiting classrooms, saying hello to friends and former teachers, and enjoying some food and ice cream!
