Happy Three-Day Weekend!

I hope to see you all at the Sweetheart Dance tonight. From the buzz around campus, it should be a fun-filled event! If you haven't already secured your tickets, they are also available at the door. 

We had our monthly fire drill today and it went very smoothly. Both the students and staff should be commended on getting outside quickly, quietly, and safely. 

The safety of our students is our top priority. We hold five different types of drills throughout the year. Our next drill will be a Lockdown Drill and it will happen next week. Below are the different types of drills we practice:

The Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework we 

emphasize at Spanger highlights the importance of establishing clear expectations 

at school. 

Spanger has three general expectations for students:

 Be safe, be respectful, and be responsible. 

In every area of the school, students are taught more specific rules and 

expectations for being safe, respectful, and responsible.  

Below are our playground expectations:

Friday, February 17th, Sweetheart Dance (5:30-7:30)

Monday, February 20th, No School, Presidents' Day

Tuesday, February 28th, End of 2nd Trimester
