 Quote of the Week:

"All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt."

-Charles M. Schultz (creator of Peanuts)

Principal's Message:

Happy Friday, Super Bowl Sunday, and 3-Day Weekend!

Thank you to those families who attended the PTC meeting this week, volunteered their time in our community garden, are planning our next family event, volunteered in our classrooms, and provided feedback to us on how we can continue to make Spanger the best school in Roseville City School District.

If you are interested in becoming a part of these events or others like them, please contact me. We would love to have you join us.

In partnership,

Mr. K

Meet everyone's favorite librarian, Mrs. Hauss...

The Sweetheart Dance is approaching and we have pre-sale tickets available. The tickets are $10 per adult and students/siblings are free (even if not students). To purchase tickets, students can bring back their completed order form (please see office for order form) and you can place it in the PTC President's mailbox (there is a folder labeled "Sweetheart Dance" tickets. I will fulfill the orders daily and leave the purchased tickets in the teacher's mailbox to distribute. Tickets can also be purchased from the PTC table during school pick-up or at the door the night of the event (Feb, 17).

Students must have an adult present to attend. If someone wants to attend, but cannot afford the ticket price, we have tickets set aside for that purpose, so please let us know if you need a comped ticket. Everything inside the dance will be free (music, feed, Photo Booth, etc.)

If you have any questions, contact Stephanie Cotter at Stephanie.lauren.cotter@gmail.com

Hope to see you there!

Yearbook Order forms will be coming soon. In the meantime, congratulations to Kenny A. from Ms. Sydow's 5th-grade class for the winning cover design.

The Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework we
emphasize at Spanger highlights the importance of establishing clear expectations
at school.

Spanger has three general expectations for students:
Be safe, be respectful, and be responsible.

In every area of the school, students are taught more specific rules and
expectations for being safe, respectful, and responsible.

Below are our office expectations:

Monday, February 13th, No School, Lincoln's Birthday
Friday, February 17th, Sweetheart Dance (5:30-7:30)
Monday, February 20th, No School, Presidents' Day
Tuesday, February 28th, End of 2nd Trimester
